I swear I'm not the only person tackling with this problem when one is shopping for vintage clothing (or maybe its just manchester) Finding small sizes, It's so hard - Finding clothes which aren't oversized. I don't mind oversized garments but I prefer clothes to fit my body not to hang off it. It pisses me off finding an amazing pieces in-store or online and they're mostly UK10 and above :'( Don't get me wrong, I'm not a size-ist! But I would appreciate a store equal ratio between small and large sizes. But maybe I'm missing out the part why vintage clothes are so cool, The uniqueness!
But yesterday I encountered this situation in the other direction...TOO FUCKING SMALL! I found this stunning 1970s cotton bomber with denim panelling by kosha nostra at MAC Vintage and I had to have it. I've never seen another jacket like it, Even though its pretty small (UK4 or small UK6 MAX) it was a total steal at £22.
It's in very good condition however the size issue has become a problem for me as its not as versatile as its potential can be, I guess its a good thing as it helps you put thought into your outfit rather than putting a jacket on because its the best smelling one out of your closet (Laundry Permitted)
