The black ankle boot - From distressed biker boots to mega-sexy platform boots, A classic fashion staple which everyone should try and able to obtain in the wardrobe. A black boot is practically a uniform piece to me, 95% of the time I am wearing a black shoes 1) Because I'm usually at school 2) I feel comfortable, I feel like if your outfit is...lets say...crazy - Black shoes would tone the outfit down and maliciously uber cool. How I get dressed is by a scale I've mysteriously created in my mind, If I wear feminine pieces then I would add masculine pieces to keep the look balanced. AKA indeterminable sexual preference :D (I like to confuse people)
Back to business, I own 6 pairs of black ankle boots in many different styles ( and sizes), I have picked out the 3 best aesthetically pleasing pairs of shoes. I don't your situation but I unfortunately own ugly yet comfortable shoes and I ain't chatting about Uggs boots. The awful, AWFUL just awful Crocs! But I've fallen into the trap - I'm not shitting you guys, Feels like walking on a fluffy spongy navy blue cloud, THE reason why I think its totally worth it to tolerate with such ugliness. Somehow the only pair of shoes that could match that pleasure is either my Supergas or my Pretty Green X Clarks desert boots.
These are my desert boots, I know they're so boring but I'm a big fan of the 60s. Desert boots played a big part of a MOD look for a dude. But these are better than the normal ones from Clarks - Co-designed by Liam Gallager! He re-designed the originals with a wider and more rounded toe and lower heel, creating a slimmer profile than the original (oooooo) but to be honest these make you look skinny...or maybe thats just naturally me.
Chelsea boots are my ultimate favourite - You can pretty much pair'em with everything and instantly look cool. The great thing about this design is that you can dress it up all fancy lalalala not to mention dressing it down. I received these last christmas when me and my mother were shopping at Russell & Bromley and I fell in love <3 Unfortunately my feet have grown and now are quite tight :'( So I'm hoping there is a method of stretching the leather.
Probably THE best shoes I've ever bought - So many trends in one 1) Brogue detailing 2) Block heel 3) Lace up 4) ITS BLACK! These look great with skinny jeans and if you know me...all I wear is skinny jeans. I wouldn't ever buy a pair of heeled boots but I needed a pair of shoes that would give me a lift as at LFW it helps being tall to take photos (also the beatles wore heels so stfu) !!!!!!
P.S - I didn't bother cleaning the last pair of boots as I strangely like the look of a muddy heel - I remember Dries Van Noten designing shoes with muddy looking heel & toe - Also reminds me of Chanel!
